  1. Q1. How does the parable of the ‘Hidden Treasure & the Pearl of great Price’ teach us about the Kingdom of God?
The pearl is as precious as the kingdom and we to give all of our things for the kingdom. We are like the traveler and God gives us trials in life to change our ways just like how the merchant fell over on the rough Judean hills.
Q2. What was the ‘actual’ treasure in both of these parables?
    The treasure is the kingdom.
    Matt. 13:44-46 (HCSB)
44 “The kingdom of heaven is like treasure, buried in a field, that a man found and reburied. Then in his joy he goes and sells everything he has and buys that field.
45 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant in search of fine pearls.
46 When he found one priceless pearl, he went and sold everything he had, and bought it.”
Q3. What’s the difference between the parable of the Hidden Treasure & The Pearl of Great Price?
The Hidden Treasure is a man stumbles apon the pearl and sells all of his belongings for it but in the pearl of great price the man looks for it his whole life and then sells all his belongings for it.
Q4. What kind of things does Jesus want us to give up so that we can gain the kingdom?
Jesus wants us to give up sin and parties so that we can focus on him more.
Q5. Why do you think the traveler and the merchant sold all their belongings for this one little piece of treasure?
because this little piece of treasure was pricless and was worth nothing and it was just so amazing in the sight of their eyes.
Q6. Using either e-Sword or https://www.biblegateway.com/, can you find out what Jesus teaches us about treasure on earth?
God has given us many different treasures on earth like the meeting, JFP, NCYC, bible classes ect.
Q7. What is the lesson for us, of the Parable of the Hidden Treasure and the Parable of the Pearl of Great Price?
The treasure is the kingdom and we are the traveller but instead of stumbling on it we look for it our whole lifes.

  2. 1. It teaches us that the kingdom is hidden and we should put away all the other stuff so we must do likewise.
2.The actual treasure was the kingdom of heaven.
3.The difference between parable of the pearl of great price and the parable of the hidden treasure

  3. 1. The parable of the hidden treasure and the pearl of great price, say that if we want the kingdom of God and eternal life we must put away all things so that we may get the word and act on it so we can get that great reward.
    2. The actual treasure in both of these parables is the word of God the reason they want it so much is because they want the reward of the kingdom anode eternal life.
    3. The difference to the two parables is that in the one about the hidden treasure the man stumbles upon the message and then he was happy with it and sold everything and bought the field. In the parable of the pearl of great price the man is acutely looking for a salvation and went he found it he got it and committed ever thing he had to the word.
    4. The things that Jesus wants us to put away are the things that will draw us away for him and the word, such as sports, electronics, money and property.
    5. I think the traveler and the merchant sold every thing they had to get the word is because there was a good hope that they wanted eternal life.
    6. Matthew 6:19 says “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20 But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” He says that we need not to store up treasure heaven where is will not go away it also says that is where your heart will be.
    7. The lesson from the two parables is that we need to try to find the word and when we do we need to act to give every thing towards that hope of the kingdom and eternal life. 🙂

  4. 1. It teaches us that the kingdom is hidden and we shouldn’t really care about everything else that takes away time from learning about the kingdom of god but we must put away all our stuff and be ready for the kingdom.
    2. The real treasure is the kingdom of heaven also it probably is also could end up being eternal life.
3.The difference between the parable of the pearl of great price and the parable of the hidden treasure is that the parable of the hidden treasure is where the people just stumble across the treasure and the parable of the pearl is where the person have actually been looking for it his whole life.
    4. There are a lot of things like our toys, money, electronics and quite a bit more.
    5. I think they sold their belongings because this one treasure was more precious than all the other stuff combined.
    6. 19 “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20 But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. so it says that you must store up your treasure in heaven and he want our hearts to be there too.
    7. The real meaning is that we must put away all of our stuff that we must actually look for the treasure our whole lives and when we do find it we must be ready and act!

  5. .it teaches us how valuable gods kingdom is,we should give up everything to get it.

.the actual treasure is gods kingdom.

.there is no difference, they both gave up everything to get the treasure.

.the most important thing we can give up is our time, and spend it doing what jesus wants.

.then they would be able to have anything they ever needed.

.there is no treasure on earth,we should store treasure in heaven by our good works and good deeds.

.the lesson is that we must give everything up now to gain gods kingdom.
