The old dragon & the young snake

satan_bound

And then I saw an angel descending from heaven, holding the key of the abyss (the bottomless pit) and a great chain was in his hand. And he overpowered and laid hold of the dragon, that old serpent, who is the devil and Satan, and bound him [securely] for a thousand years (a millennium); and the angel hurled him into the abyss, and closed it and sealed it above him [preventing his escape or rescue], so that he would no longer deceive and seduce the nations, until the thousand years were at an end. After these things he must be liberated for a short time.

  1. One of the most beautiful aspects of the vision of the kingdom is the guarantee that God will change, heal and share with us His immortal nature, and so finally we can worship and serve Him in spirit and in truth!

    As for the the mortal inhabitant of the Kingdom, full checks and balances, placed under the divine rehabilitation and education program. This is the day when the righteous will flourish. Yeehaaaa and wooohooo!

  2. 1. Verse 2 says: And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years. So are human nature is described as a dragon, or an old serpent. It also uses Devil with means false accuser, the last thing it uses is Satan, which means to be an opposer. {like Peter in Mat 16:23
    But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.}

    2. The bible uses the serpent as a symbol of us because when Adam and Eve sinned and they got there punishments. Gen 3v15 it said that he would put enmity between the serpent’s and the woman’s seeds. The serpent’s seed isn’t actual snakes it’s the people who sin and are not Jews and the serpent is the symbol of sin. And we are sin.

    3. The serpent spoke deceptive words and lied about what was the true thing that would happen afterwards. 3v5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
    He also sort of bribed them theta they would be like gods/angles.

    3.1 The serpent affected Eve so strongly that she disobeyed God and took of the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. And so much so that she made her husband sin as well.

    4. John 8v44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. The jewish leaders were the father of the devil, they were like murderers. They abided not in the truth because there is no truth in them. Lastly ever for that proceeded off out of their mouths was a lie and they were the father of it.

    5. The serpent made it’s decisions by using it’s intelligence and making sure it’s needs are cared for. But it was missing a conscience to know what was right or wrong.

    6. No! He want us to get a good conscience so that the world can be filled with his glory,so his plan work the right way.
